At the Women of the Summit, we aim to connect, inspire and energise the leaders of tomorrow. We discuss the key issues faced today and consider how progress can be made. We do so through the lens of a new generation of leaders, exploring how shifts in cultural and leadership style reflect global challenges in a different light and thereby create new ideas and opportunities. The event hosts international delegates, to ensure a truly global conversation.
At the 2016 event, our agenda was the “World of the Millennial Leaders” and we explored the implications of technology, security and the global economy. Speakers included, HRH The Countess of Wessex, Stan Sthanunathan, Executive Vice President, Consumer & Market Insights, Unilever; Nicola Mendelsohn CBE, Vice President EMEA, Facebook, Sir John Sawers, Former Chief of MI6.
The event sat within the wider Week of Women Programme, in which we worked alongside the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Wilton Park to offer a week of events for our International delegates. We welcomed representatives from 25 different countries and the programme of events for delegates included a drinks reception at the City of Westminster Art Galleries, an event at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and tea at Buckingham Palace.
